New head of ICT

Aberdeenshire Council has named Nicola Graham as its new head of ICT (Information and Communications Technology).

Nicola has worked in ICT for the past 20 years and her career spans both the public and private sector.

As a member of Aberdeenshire Council’s senior management, Nicola will be responsible for the leadership, management, performance and development of Aberdeenshire Council’s ICT Service, which provides and maintains information systems and an ICT infrastructure for all of Aberdeenshire Council’s services.

Appointments Committee Chair, Councillor Jim Gifford, said: “Nicola brings a breadth of skills and knowledge of ICT to the post and has been doing an excellent job in leading Aberdeenshire Council’s ICT service as interim head.

“I’m delighted to welcome Nicola to this permanent, senior position.”

Speaking of her new role, Nicola said: “I have really enjoyed working with the Council over the past 18 months and I am delighted to be appointed to the head of ICT post on a permanent basis.  

“I look forward to working with colleagues across the Council in using ICT to improve service delivery for the citizens of Aberdeenshire.”

Nicola has been Aberdeenshire Council’s interim head of ICT since April 2011.
