A NEW local business that provides a platform for local traders to showcase their goods and providing a fun family day out has been started by a Kemnay mother of two.
Victoria McMillan runs Busy Beasties, which also focusing on and supporting one local charity per year. The charity for June 2012-June 2013 is Kayleigh’s Wee Stars. This charity supports the families of children who have been diagnosed with terminal illnesses by supporting the families in many ways. The “Busy Beasties” launch event was held at Inverurie Town Hall on the Saturday (August 4) this year and attracted a huge variety of local businesses showcasing their products. The event was also well attended with over 200 people there on the day.
By popular demand, the next event will be on Sunday, November 25, between 11am and 3pm at Old Dobbies Site, Hazeldene Road, Aberdeen. This event will be a Christmas Extravaganza with over 50 stalls, fun activities for the children including a children’s disco, balloon art, story telling and face painting. There is a free crèche for the under fives and a coffee shop for parents to relax in after doing their Christmas shopping whilst the children have fun. Angus the Bull and Spiderman will be in attendance on the day to meet the children with plenty of photo taking opportunities. There will also be a professional photographer there on the day for photo shoot opportunities.
