A HALLOWEEN night of circus and surprise is being organised for Aden Country Park.
The Adenstrom event will be held on Saturday (October 27) at 6.30pm, starting from the courtyard area in front of the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum.
Families are being invited to join a parade of puppets, performers and stilt walkers deep into the woods of Aden. Music and projections will also be performed before and after the main parade with the Halloween extravaganza coming to a close with a fiery finale in the ruins of the old Aden Estate mansion house.
In addition the newly-opened Aden Shop and the Aden Café/Restaurant will be serving hot food, tea and coffee.
The Adenstrom Halloween event is a youth regeneration project led by Theatre Modo in partnership with the Reaching Out project, community planning partners, Shell and Aberdeenshire Council.
Theatre Modo is working with school, youth and community groups to create the Adenstrom and Maelstrom which will take place on Friday, November 2, in Fraserburgh. So far, nearly 1000 young people have been engaged in the project with more than 200 expected to take part the Aden Country Park parade.
Reaching Out Project development officer Liz Scott said: “This is will be a great event for the young people and families from the Buchan area. The groups have organised a terrific range of performances for the event”.
The Halloween event is free, un-ticketed, but donations are welcome.
