THIS year’s Inverurie Bonfire and Fireworks Night will be held on Saturday, November 2, at the Thainstone Centre, Inverurie.
The popular community event is again being organised by Inverurie and District Round Table who have invited back Neil Ross to provide this year’s fireworks display. Former Pyro Olympics Gold Medallist Neil produced the much acclaimed displays of 2011 and 2012 and is sure to provide another spectacular show.
Organisers are also pleased to announce that this year’s display is being supported by Inverurie Tile Centre.
Gates will open at 5.30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks will start at 7pm. There is a minimum donation for entry of £5 per car or £1 per pedestrian.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable evening is had by all attending, no alcohol or personal fireworks (including sparklers) are allowed at the event.
A significant volume of traffic is generated around the Thainstone Centre during the evening, especially at the culmination of the Fireworks display when a large number of people attempt to leave at once. To help clear the site as quickly as possible a “first in first out system” will be in operation in the car parks again, so those arriving last will be last to leave the event. Organisers ask those who are held in their cars be patient with the stewards and police as the system is designed to clear the car parks as quickly as possible.
