A full list of bands and performers for this years “Inverurie Christmas Weekender” has been released by organisers Inverurie Events.

Appearing live this year will be: The Gaitherin, The Garioch Fiddlers, The Girl Guides Singsong, Kellands Primary School Choir, Xpressions Dance Group, and the headline act The KG’s. Also appearing as part of the St Andrew’s Day Parade will be Inverurie, Ellon and Kintore Pipe Bands.

On Sunday there will also be the Community Council Presentation of Citizen and Youth Citizen of the Year Awards, a Secret Video (from Inverurie Traders Association) and the Parade will be rounded off with a spectacular Fireworks Display by Fireworks Scotland.

Headline act The KG’s are a fantastic live acoustic covers duo, based in Aberdeenshire, who play old and new popular favourites to really get a party jumping.

The successful band have travelled around Scotland playing weddings, parties and prestigious events including the opening of the Byre Theatre in St Andrews. They also play in local pubs and venues in and around Aberdeenshire. Before the successful duo formed a band together lead singer and guitarist Karen Green was a solo singer performing with her loop pedal, and. George Drew, on percussion and vocals, was a saxophonist with a successful local soul band before joining forces with Karen. The KG’s can be seen on Sunday, November 30, from 1.30pm at the Inverurie Christmas Weekender.
