A MAJOR anonymous art auction with a twist will be held in Banchory’s Royal British Legion, Ramsay Road on Friday, November 4.
Preparations are well advanced for the ARTanon with over 70 pieces of art on offer and, although the list of artists has been published, the artist behind each piece will remain concealed until after the auction.
“The idea is that people should buy the pictures because they like them, and not for any other reason” said Ryan Bond, president of Banchory Rotary Club, the organisers of the event.
All proceeds from the auction will be split between Rotary International’s ‘End Polio Now’ campaign and ChildLine Aberdeen.
Mr Bond added: “In total 54 local artists have generously contributed works for free and we are extremely grateful to them.”
The ARTanon starts at 6.30pm for 7pm. Doors open for viewing from 3pm. A complete gallery of the art on offer and pre-registration t can be accessed online by visiting www.artanon.org.uk.
