Huntly shortbread manufacturer Dean’s marked the 20th anniversary of its move to the Aberdeenshire town’s industrial estate, which was officially opened by Prince Charles in 1992.
Commenting, managing director Bill Dean said: “We are very proud to be celebrating our 20th anniversary at our premises here in Depot Road. Making that move in 1992 from our small production facility in Deveron Street was a bold step for us as a fledgling business, but it has been a great success for us and the town, as the popularity of our products just keeps on growing”.
To mark the occasion, Dean’s had created a limited edition shortbread finger pack in a replica design from those produced in 1992.
Continuing, Mr Dean said: “We wanted our customers to share in the celebrations and so we decided to recreate our finger pack from 20 years ago, and sell it at the 1992 price too – we think it looks great, and it made us feel quite nostalgic as we see how our brand has evolved over the years.”
