HUNTLY based property development company, Deveron Homes, has announced the launch of its involvement in a new national scheme which will provide opportunities for homebuyers while also boosting the construction industry by helping to create more jobs.

MI New Home is supported by the Scottish Government and aims to kick-start the housing market by putting 95 per cent loan to value mortgages back into the lending mainstream.

Attending the recent Deveron Homes launch at the company’s Cairn View development in Kemnay was local MSP Dennis Robertson. He said: “I was delighted to visit the Cairn View development and to hear about the work being done by Deveron Homes in conjunction with the MI New Home scheme.

“I am very pleased that local companies are working hard to create jobs and boost the construction industry, while at the same time ensuring that more people will have the ability to buy their own home.”

Deveron Homes Director Alan Murray added: “The launch of MI New Home is a welcome boost for the beleaguered construction industry. Deveron Homes has invested a great deal in the MI New Home initiative and we are hopeful that increasing demand for new build properties will, in turn, bring much-needed, new jobs to the construction sector.”
