Oldmeldrum-based Flowline Specialists recently rounded off its 18-month long partnership with north-east charity Inspire with a novel donation.

The firm handed over a cheque for £3,000 and also donated a stack of 70 books that Inspire will use to raise funds to help stage one of its annual events.

Employees had taken on a number of challenges to fundraise for Inspire, which supports adults, young people and children with learning disabilities and additional support needs.

This has included firewalks, parachute jumps, 10k and adventure races and a pound for pound weight loss challenge.

To mark the end of the partnership, Flowline Specialists called on its staff to donate any old unwanted books to help the charity raise additional funds. The donated books will be sold at Inspire’s Cafe Coast in Aberdeen to raise funds for the charity’s annual Sparkles Disco.

The Beach Ballroom event is a social highlight for many of the people Inspire supports.
