Fly Cup Catering has received £2,000 from The Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation.
The grant was awarded for use towards new equipment.
The money will be used to purchase a new coffee machine as their old one required regular engineering attention.
The machine will be used by trainees in the coffee shop.
Fly Cup Catering are very pleased to be recognised by the Moray based charity and hope to welcome some of their trustees to their premises in due course for a tour and visit.
Fly Cup is based in Inverurie and provides training and employment opportunities for adults with a learning disability into catering.
Open Monday to Saturday, Fly Cup currently supports 33 trainees each week where they are able to learn skills including cooking, baking, home living and administration.
Business manager, Denise Belshaw, said: “Every one of our trainees wants to have a turn in the coffee shop, the customers enjoy seeing them and the trainees get experience of real life customer service, whilst behind the scenes other trainees are learning skills that would help them to work in any commercial kitchen or bakery should employment be offered.”
