THe developers of a new commercial park established on the site of the former International Paper mill at Inverurie have announced that they have secured their first tenant for the park.
Industrial cleaning group MSIS will relocate to Kirkwood Commercial Park later this month from its current base in Sauchen. As part of the company’s expansion plans, it has agreed to lease a 500 square metre warehouse and 220 square metre of the former HQ office block on the site for an initial period of three years, with an option for extension to a five-year term.
MSIS Group Chairman Chris Lloyd, said: “We’re extremely pleased to be the first company to move into Kirkwood Commercial Park, which we’ve no doubt will play a key role in the North-east economy for many years to come.
“As part of our business strategy, we were looking to move our operations to a new, larger base, which would enable us to continue building the profile of the group’s oilfield and industrial services divisions.
“This site, which provides us with a dedicated warehouse and enhanced facilities for our cleaning services, is ideal. Its location and quality of facilities will provide a tremendous base for our business going forward.”
Kirkwood land director, Allan Rae said: “We are extremely happy to welcome the MSIS Group as our first tenant to Kirkwood Commercial Park and look forward to working closely with them as they continue to expand their business.
“The park is in a great location for companies. It has direct links to the trunk road and has a range of flexible property options available. We will be making further announcements on new tenants in the next few weeks with several live inquiries currently on-going.”
Kirkwood Homes Investments Ltd purchased the former Inverurie Paper Mill site from International Paper in February.
