AN INVERURIE lingerie boutique is getting ready to size up competitors after reaching the finals of top national awards.

Inverurie-based, De-Zire, has successfully measured up amongst some of the UK and Ireland’s finest retailers, and has been announced as finalists at this year’s Stars: Underlines Best Shop Awards.

The lingerie boutique, which was launched by North-east businesswoman, Susan Evans, in 2008, is facing tough competition from 13 other retailers from across the country in the Best Personal Touch Shop category. This award specifically focuses on the personality, professionalism and expertise of the owners, as well as the level of customer loyalty and personal one-to-one service given at each fitting.

The UK wide independent retail awards, which received over 400 nominations this year, is now in its fifth year, and recognises the best intimate apparel, swimwear and legwear retailers across the UK and Ireland.

Owner of De-Zire, Susan Evans said: “I am over the moon that De-Zire has reached the finals of the Star Awards this year. To be nominated by industry suppliers and brands is great as it shows they have recognised the efforts my team and I go to on a daily basis.

“As I am one of the only independent boutiques in the area, it is great to be acknowledged for my hard work and determination to offer my customers an education about lingerie and the benefits of a correctly fitting bra. I aim to give my customers only the best, top quality lingerie and outstanding customer service each and every time.”

De-Zire is now one of the only lingerie boutiques in the North-east and works tirelessly to change attitude of woman and young girls towards lingerie shopping. Susan, who is a qualified bra fitter, will be attending the awards ceremony in London on Wednesday, November 20.
