THE Inverurie Business Association are inviting all interested parties to a first ever Joint Initiative Meeting on the forthcoming Local Development Plan.
In support of the Main Issues Report Question Number 17 relates directly to Inverurie, saying, “In Inverurie is uncertainty so great, and land supply so buoyant, that we (the local authority) should defer decisions on where future housing land should be released to a future development plan.”
As the deadline comments on the Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan approaches, the meeting has been organised for Tuesday, January 28, at 10am at Gordon House, Inverurie. All interested parties invited to join the Inverurie Business Association members and representatives of Aberdeenshire Council, local councillors, planning, construction and associated businesses and Community Councils to this very important meeting on the future plans for Inverurie and surrounding area.
Those wishing to attend should contact email@example.com. The meeting will be co-chaired by Doug Milne, Garioch Area Manager, Aberdeenshire Council and Jackie Allen, Chairman of IBA (Inverurie Business Association).
The IBA would like you to consider what impact this could have on the future growth of the town and business community, with infrastructure being one of the key factors affecting all development and bearing in mind this is the only opportunity you will have to influence The Reporter for many years to come. The decisions that are made now affect the future for Inverurie, its residents, children and grandchildren.
If you are unable to attend the meeting the IBA are urging those concerned to e-mail their views by Thursday, January 24, which will be used in the IBA’s official response.
