An Inverurie fashion retailer and designer is in the running for a top business accolade.

Inger Vorley, of The Fountain in Port Elphinstone, has been shortlisted in the Highland Business Women Awards.

She is up against five other companies in the category, Most Enterprising Business (sponsored by Business Gateway).

Inger was originally inspired to design her collection, Tartan Touch, when she could not find anything suitable to wear to attend a Burns evening and has gone on to grow the collection, all designed and manufactured in Scotland.

It was recently showcased in the series, The Fashion Brunch 2017, fronted by fashion guru, Gok Wan, who is promoting independent fashion designers and retailers in Scotland.

Inger is from Norway and has run The Fountain in Elphinstone Road for 13 years.

The business has a wide range of fashion for all - from the informal to occasion and evening wear, with shoes and accessories and a complementing hat hire service.

The business awards will be held in the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness, tomorrow (Friday).
