Kirkwood Commercial Park

Kirkwood Homes Investments Limited held three days of Public Exhibitions across Kintore and Inverurie last month to outline their proposals for the regeneration and expansion of the former Inverurie Paper Mill site, now known as Kirkwood Commercial Park.

Members of the public were able to view the proposed plans for the expansion of the Commercial Park Northwards as well as those for a small scale Energy from Waste (EfW) facility within the existing PM4 building.

Following the feedback received, and to provide an additional opportunity for the local community and those with an interest in the development of the former Paper Mill site to view the proposals, a second public exhibition will be held on Thursday (November 1) from 4.30pm to 9pm at Port

Elphinstone School.

Commenting on the Exhibition, Allan Rae, Kirkwood Homes Investments Ltd said: “Whilst the turnout at our earlier exhibitions was lower than we had anticipated, the overall view on our proposals for Kirkwood Commercial Park was positive, with attendees welcoming new opportunities for local jobs and significant investment to be delivered by this development to create a vibrant hub of economic activity for the future.

“It is very important to us that the local community and all stakeholders have an opportunity to view and comment on our proposals. We sincerely hope that the local community and all stakeholders will be able to attend the public exhibition on Thursday, November 1, and importantly, provide feedback on our aspirations for the site.”
