A PRODUCT used by local timber frame specialists, Scotframe has been awarded the Best Energy Efficiency/Sustainability Solutions Award at the Timber Expo which took place in Coventry recently.

Val-U-Thermä’s stand at the Expo, put together by, Scotframe Timber Engineering Ltd, Flight Timber Products Ltd and the Walker Timber Group, was visited by thousands of construction professionals.

A model on the stand demonstrated the three main configurations – wall panels, floor panels and roof panels. The team also introduced visitors to a special fire-resistant version of Val-U-Thermä that has been independently tested and achieved the best Category C result.

Bob Edwards, Scotframe Managing Director, said: “This award at the Expo - a prestigious event which showcases the technological advances in the industry - is recognition that Val-U-Therm™ is head and shoulders above its competitors. It delivers exceptional environmental performance – both as a product in its own right and in the way it enhances the environmental credentials of any buildings it is part of.

“These carefully-crafted panels will make a significant contribution to the construction industry and will help reduce CO2 emissions whilst creating more energy efficient homes and commercial properties both now and in the future.”
