One of Scotland’s highest profile manufacturing employers will be in Ellon next week to set out the business case for Scottish Independence.

Ivan McKee, a director of the ‘Business for Scotland’ organisation, will be the keynote speaker at a public meeting next Tuesday evening (June 10), which will take place at 7.30pm in Ellon’s New Inn Hotel.

Mr McKee, who spent 30 years working in the manufacturing sector with large corporate organisations, launched his own consultancy and turnaround company eight years ago.

More recently, as a leading member of the pro-independence ‘Business for Scotland’ organisation, he has been in demand on TV and radio as a straight-talking advocate for Independence, regularly getting the better of professional politicians on the opposing side of the argument.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, a spokesperson for the Ellon and District ‘Yes’ campaign said: “We’re thrilled to be able to welcome Ivan to Ellon to make the case for why Independence will be good for business in Scotland”, he said.
