Catriona added: “Belhelvie members take part in many competitions - we have a new ladies tug of war team keen to have a successful season and recently we had a boys football team take part in district eliminations for the upcoming rally which will be held in New Deer on June 28.”
The group hold meetings throughout the year, usually on a Tuesday night. This year trips have included a visit to Fraserburgh life boats, Thainstone Mart for a mock auction and Aberdeens Garthdee dry ski slope.
Catriona said: “SAYFC slogan is ‘not just for those who wear wellies’ - many of our present members are not farmers and have various interests. We always welcome new members, if anyone is interested our next meeting is at Norvite, Insch on June 10.”
