Guests at Fyvie Castle were treated to an evening interview last week between Robert Lovie NTS Manager and Jack Webster, journalist, broadcaster and author of 18 books.

Starting with drinks and canapés guest then made their way to the impressive Music Room where John Cockburn and Friends entertained them with music following which Mr Webster regaled the audience with memories stretching back to his childhood in Maud, his entry to journalism at an early age with the Turriff Advertiser, then onto the Press and Journal in Aberdeen and onwards and upwards. His interviews with the great, good and famous celebrities in this country and America held the audience spellbound and the half hour interview ran well over time, before everyone headed to the magnificent Dining Room for a splendid supper.

The event, held in aid of Friends of Insch Hospital and Community, arranged by Dr Halldis Mackie and assisted by The Friends Committee Members, ended all too soon, and for those of you who missed this event – you missed a great night out. (See picture page 3).
