THE family of Margaret Laing, who died in the road accident on the B977 Hatton of Fintray to Dyce Road last Monday (October 21), have released a statement through Police Scotland.
Mrs Laing is survived by her husband Alan, 78, sons Alan, 55, and wife Jennifer, and Ian, 52, and partner Diane. She was also grandmother to Matthew, 12.
Speaking on behalf of the family her son Alan Laing said his mother had devoted her life to caring for other people and was full-time carer for her husband.
He said: “She grew up in the Inverurie area before training as a nurse and working at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
“We are all absolutely devastated by her death. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a very kind person and would do anything to help others.
“She was an active person with a good sense of humour. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.”
A 50-year-old man appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, (October 22), in relation to the collision.
