Late last year Inverurie man Darren Ross, his brother Jamie Ross and cousin James Forbes decided to fundraise in memory of two of Darren aunts.

They chose to cycle, with a group of pals, from Inverurie to Arbroath (where Jamie and James live).

The group of 12 cyclists made the journey on 31 August 2012 and raised in excess of £5000 for Cancer Research and Leukemia and lymphoma research.

Unfortunately due to illness Darren was unable to participate but intends to do the run in early 2013.

The group would like to thank all family and friends who sponsored them. The group would also like to thank William Lippe Architects, Tor Ecosse and the Kintore Arms.

If anyone would like to support either of these causes please email Darren at dross75@hotmail.co.uk. Likewise, Darren would be pleased to hear from anyone keen to join or assist him in the spring.
