An appeal for childrens’ toys and games has been made ahead of the launch of a new playgroup next week.
Foveran Baby and Toddler Group opens for the first time on Wednesday, May 28 in the Foveran Village Hall.
The weekly session run by local mums will provide a place to meet up for parents and parents-to-be, as well as offering a safe and friendly environment for children to play in.
Volunteer, Jennifer McLoughlin said that the organisers are all set for the big day. She said: “While we’ve got pretty much everything we need in place, we would still like to have a few more books, toys, games and puzzles for the children to enjoy.
“Foveran is a growing village and the surrounding area has a lot of young families, we think that by offering a brand new opportunity for parents to meet while their children play, we can add something really positive to the community.
“We hope that even if parents can’t make it along for the first session, they’ll come along in future weeks and help us make this venture a real success for the community.”
The group will meet Wednesday between 9.30-11.30am each week in Foveran Village Hall. For further information on the Foveran Baby and Toddler Group contact Lynn on 01358 788932 or Nikki on 07715 560455.
