The outside of the building has been re-painted and new signage put up. Inside, the pub has benefited from new furnishings, lighting and decor.

The bar has been run for the past year by Ashleigh Spencer and Gemma Cumming.

A spokesperson for Belhaven, said: “The pub’s improved décor is a mix of the traditional with a modern twist.

“It looks fantastic and the new look matches the friendly welcome that Ashleigh and Gemma give all their customers.

“The Bridge Bar is already very popular with the community and we are in no doubt they will be proud of their new look pub.”

Regulars have already give their approval to the updated look.

Aly McDonald celebrated his birthday in the pub when it reopened.

The Bridge has strong sporting ties and regularly shows live football matches, as well as boxing matches.

It also sponsors Ellon Thistle Football Club, which runs a pub quiz at the Bridge on Sundays. The pub also hosts live music.
