SNH to host reception night in Inverurie

Local people are being invited to an event in Inverurie hosted by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH).

SNH is the Scottish Government’s advisor on the management, enjoyment, understanding and sustainable use of Scotland’s wildlife, natural habitats and landscape.

Chairman Andrew Thin will host the event on March 8, along with SNH board member, Sue Walker, and Tayside & Grampian area manager, David Bale.

Mr Thin said: “We hold these events across the country so people have the opportunity to talk to senior SNH staff and board members about the work we do. It’s important as a national organisation that we listen to the feedback on the service we provide locally. We’re keen to discuss issues of importance to folk in the wider Inverurie area.”

Mr Bale added: “We’ve already invited a number of people in the area to the reception, but we hope plenty of other members of the public will join us, so we can hear their views and answer any questions they may have about SNH and our work.”

The event will be in Garioch Sports Centre from 6.30pm till 8.30pm. For more information, e-mail TAYSIDE_GRAMPIAN@snh.gov.uk or phone Jim Dey on 01224 266500
