Fetternear enjoy scotch & bulb show

Fetternear’s WRI meeting saw a successful Scotch Night and Mini Bulb Show held recently.

The Candelabra was won by Dorothy Grant for most points in the Bulb Show and the runner-up Cup went to Margaret Salter.

The bulbs were kindly judged by Betty Christie.

After a lovely meal was enjoyed by all, a grand night of entertainment was provided by Bill Aiken and friends.

A raffle with proceeds to Fetternear Hall Roof was run by Iris Keith and helpers.

The vote of thanks for a very enjoyable evening was given by Nan Singer.

President, Elsie Murray welcomed Kamal and Junni Jardaneh to the March meeting.

Then Kamal and Junni kindly judged the competitions.

Middle Eastern dish was won by Jules Davison while the Dip was won by Margaret Salter.

Flower of month: 1. Margaret Salter 2. Elsie Aiken 3. Lorna Skea.

The New Zealand Trophy was won by Margaret Salter.

A letter from New Zealand was read by Elma Riddell and a lovely tea was served by Elsie Aiken and Junni Jardaneh.

The raffle was run by Iris Keith and the vote of thanks by Dorothy Grant thanked all with a special mention to Kamal for his taste of the Middle East.
