Staff at the Ferguson Group been busy with a variety of activities to raise funds for a cancer charity.

Between them they have published a cookbook, been off-road driving, biking and baking in the past few months to raise essential funds for Monty’s Maggie’s Appeal, the company’s chosen charity for 2012, which aims to raise £3million to bring a Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre to Aberdeen.

Ferguson Group began fundraising for the charity in 2011 and set out to raise £33,000 per year for three years to reach an overall target of £100,00. Last year, £34,000 was raised and already this year over £36,000 has been achieved through the ongoing programme of varied activities organised by the firm’s fundraising team.

Earlier this week, the Group’s Kintore headquarters was transformed into a Halloween-themed cake shop. Staff brought in a whole selection of baking which was sold to colleagues and local businesses, raising nearly £800.

The charity cookbook, which includes recipes from celebrity chefs, is continuing to sell well and will be sold at local Christmas fairs and farmers’ markets as well as many Scottish branches of Waterstones. To purchase a copy of the charity cookbook please contact marketing@ferguson-group.com.
