LOCAL Postie Graham Watson from Kemnay, who last year was awarded a First Class People Award for his fundraising efforts, is set once again to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care.

Graham is busy organising his 6th Annual Darts Competition in the Royal British Legion, Blackhall Road, Inverurie on Saturday, May 28.

There will be a Men’s Competition, which is £6 to enter with the winner getting £250 for their efforts and the Runner-up getting £125. The two losing semi-finalists will get £30 each.

There will also be a Ladies Competition, again £6 to enter with the winner receiving £125. The Runner-up will get £50 and the two losing semi-finalists will each receive £20.

Over the last five years this event has raised in excess of £7,000 and to date Graham’s efforts have raised around £14,000 for various charities.

Anyone wishing to enter can contact Graham on (01467) 641130 or graham813@hotmail.com. Registration will also be available on the day, 2.30pm, and the first game is due to start at 3pm.

There will be a raffle and an auction on the day along with a Disco in the evening after the Darts Competition has been completed.

Graham would like to thank the sponsors of this event: Fetternear Fruit and Les Stuart Joinery who have been the main sponsors for the last three years, and also Angel Dawn Psychic Medium, Bellhaven Brewery, Braria, Burnett Arms (Kemnay) Dunecht 4x4, Gushet Bar (Kemnay), Hi-Fry Chip Shop, Sim of Inverurie, Sean Wilson Joinery and Thomas St.Fries (Mobile Caterers) all of whom kindly sponsor the event.

Also Premier Coaches (Kintore) have donated £100 as a first prize in the raffle which will be held on the day.

Graham said, “Without this continued support from these local companies I would have no chance at all of keeping this event going and raising so much money for Breast Cancer Care. I really am very grateful to them and also to everybody who turns up on the day and spends their hard earned cash”

Graham is also in the middle of organising another event, a Strawberry Tea which will be held on Saturday, July 2, from 3 to 5pm again in the Royal British Legion Inverurie all proceeds will be going to Breast Cancer Care.
