THOUSANDS turned out to the 2012 Grampian Country Fair on Saturday, with spectator treated to a range of stalls, entertainments and local foods.
Attendees were joined by the cast of Emmerdale, who have become a regular fixture in the north-east over the years.
Attractions at the event included a selection of equestrian displays; falconry; a dowsing competition; cookery demonstrations; and a huge number of local businesses selling everything from jewellery to hats.
Profits from the event are set to be donated to charity Inspire, who offer opportunities to people with learning disabilities and additional support needs in North East Scotland. The charity was supported by local business Ideas in Partnership, whose employees helped man the gates on the day.
Organiser George Walker told the Times that the event had raised more than £100,000 for Inspire, with the final total to be confirmed.
“It was a fantastic day, with a big team effort from everyone involved,” he said.
