PLANS for a Youth Cafe at the Garioch Community Centre, Inverurie were approvedby members of the Garioch Area Committee on Tuesday.
The application, which was recommended for approval and submitted by Aberdeenshire Council, will see an extension built at the rear of the Community Centre, comprising a single storey of around 100 square metres with a flat roof.
Councillors were informed that “the proposed extension would make good use of a currently underused area to the rear of the building and the proposal does not give rise to any amenity concerns”
Aberdeenshire Council’s Planning and Environmental Services stated in their report, “In summary, the proposed development would comply with all the relevant policies of the local development plan and is welcomed.”
The application was approved subject to conditions, including that no development can take plave until full details of the disposal of surface water from the development have been submitted in writing to the Planning Authority for approval.
