Inverurie’s Thainstone Centre is set to host what has been dubbed the “biggest” outdoor leisure event in the North-east next week.
Thousands of visitors are expected to flock to the Scottish Caravan and Camping Show, featuring the Grampian Outdoor Leisure Show on Friday and Saturday, June 15 and Saturday 16.
Since its successful debut last year, the show has been confirmed as a permanent fixture and is already being referred to as ‘The Northern Show’ by the trade.
All the latest ideas and equipment will be on display, with everything from the smallest tent peg to a £500,000 luxury holiday lodge. There will be a massive display of touring caravans, motorhomes and residential units, as well as a huge range of accessories in the indoor hall.
Dyce Caravans, who are the sponsors, will have on display the newly launched Bailey Retreat willow semi-static caravan, and the limited edition Elddis Crusader Diamond Jubilee Tempest caravan.
Busy Outdoors, are also a sponsor and will be joined by around a dozen suppliers on their stand where you will find the new Smartent. This is the coolest way to sleep under canvas - a fold-up frame tent that keeps you off the ground, and there will be a competition to win one at the show.
There will also be a large display of holiday lodges and residential caravans from some of the biggest names in the industry including Stately-Albion and Omar Park Homes.
For the more active visitors, there will be electric bicycles and a fleet of two-wheeled Segways.
Popular celebrity cook Andrew Dickens is returning after his barn-storming performances last year with another selection of mouth-watering outdoor recipes.
In addition, there will be a rally campsite, run by Scottish Caravanner magazine in conjunction with the Caravan Club.
