Ythan Childminding Group did their bit for Ellon’s elderly community by joining residents of a local care home in a “morning of song”.
The group visited Ythanvale to take part in the singalong and delighted its occupants by donating a hamper of sweets and savoury snacks.
They were accompanied by James Clarke on guitar and the event was filmed for parents by Aberdeenshire Video Editing.
Group chairperson Zoe Sadler said: “It just shows what a unique community we live in when we can organise such an event for our local care home and other local organisations are willing to offer their services in support.
“The children all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and sang so well. We are looking forward to hopefully organising similar events in the near future.”
The childminding group raised £1085 for Cash for Kids at the end of last year and decided to give something back to the local elderly community.
Set up more than five years ago, the group allows local childminders to meet on a regular basis and gives the children the opportunity to play with other youngsters of similar age and stage of development. It meets twice a month with the children and regularly meets in the evenings for organised training events and planning meetings.
