Fairtrade on offer at Strathburn
Strathburn P3/4 pupils Megan, Blair, Molly, Sam and Cara show off their Fairtrade goods and handiwork.
PUPILS from Strathburn Primary P3/4 RH class have been hard at work with their Fairtrade Tuck Shop as part of a non-profit Enterprise Project, and it’s hoped that their efforts will contribute towards Strathburn achieving Fairtrade School status.
The pupils have been selling Fairtrade snacks such as raisins, fruit bars, and other Fairtrade goodies in the school, so successfully that they have almost sold out of their first batch of products.
The youngsters have also visited the Community Kitchen in the Wyness Hall, Inverurie where they prepared unique Fairtrade Mothers Day gifts, and have been to Ubantu in the Acorn Centre where they received a talk on Fairtrade from Mrs Groves.
