THE last of two Run Garioch Running Clinics will be held in Inverurie on Wednesday, February 26 at Inverurie Locos FC, Harlaw Road.
The Clinic, designed to help all levels of runner maximise their performance, will be hosted by local athletics legends Fraser Clyne and Mel Edwards MBE.
The first Clinic in January was a huge success, with over 50 runners making the most of the opportunity to get advice and support from the experts.
In response to requests at the first Clinic, the panel will give a short presentation on motivation and psychological techniques for training and racing at this final Clinic. They will then open the floor to questions on any running-related issues, including speed training, long runs, nutrition/hydration, competition, recovery, kit and getting ready for race day.
Race sponsors Run4it will again be on hand with a display of the latest running accessories. They will also provide free gait analysis to help runners find the perfect shoe.
Doors open at 7.15pm for gait analysis / browsing; the Running Clinic will start at 7.30pm. Entry is £2 for anyone not on the ‘10 Weeks to Run Garioch’ Training Programme, and all levels of runner are most welcome to attend.
