Plans to demolish a former filling station and create 16 flats on the outskirts of Ellon will now go out for public consultation for a second time.
Developers have submitted a fresh application after they were asked to reconsider design elements within the original plans put forward last year.
The former Craighall Filling Station on South Road stopped trading in October, 2011, and has been described by many in the community as an ‘eyesore’ when entering the town.
There have been repeated calls locally for the site to be tidied up.
When the public consultation phase over the new plans is concluded, a final report will be prepared for consideration by councillors on Formartine Area Committee.
