Local dancers receive funding boost

The Middleton Trust handed over a cheque for �500 to the Rosaline School of Highland Dance for their forthcoming visit to Vancouver to take part in the 40th Scotdance Championship for Highland Dancing.

A dance school has been given a funding boost for a trip to Canada in the summer.

Ean Mackie, of the Middleton Trust, handed over a cheque for £500 to the Rosaline Hendry School of Highland Dancing for their visit to Vancouver to take part in the 40th Scotdance Championship from July 2-6. The presentation took place in the Station Hotel, Ellon.

The dancers will be taking part in various categories and have been busily fund-raising. They thanked the Trust for its donation.
