Successful local architectural firm William Lippe Architects have announced a major sponsorship contribution towards the effort of four local men heading for Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise funds for local charity North East Sensory Services.
Graeme Hay, Alan Lyon, Allan Rae and Neil Skene (NESS Charity Fundraising Coordinator) are heading for the challenging peak in early June. They hope to raise a significant five figure sum for the work of the Charity who provide emotional and practical support to any one affected by a sight or hearing loss in the North east. NESS provides a wide range of services to improve the lives of blind and deaf people in the region. The challenge will be significant as Neil is totally blind and will be helped throughout the trip by Graeme, Alan and Allan.
Speaking at the recent announcement of his company’s support at Garioch Sports Centre Willie Lippe said “We are very pleased to be supporting the efforts of the Charity and the work that it does in the local area – we wish the boys luck with their challenge and a successful outcome for all involved. William Lippe Architects is committed to supporting local fundraising and our staff regularly get involved in various initiatives in the local community.”
Welcoming Willie’s support, Neil Skene said, “This announcement is fantastic news and the contribution will push us forward closer to our target we hope to achieve in the next month or so – we would like to thank Willie and his team very much for their support and we will make sure we do what’s expected of us and get each other to the top of the Mountain and back. We hope to announce another two major contributions in the next couple of weeks.”
Alan Lyon from the team said, “This support from William Lippe Architects is really great. It builds on the superb assistance we have had already from a wide range of companies and individuals, friends, colleagues and families including CP and Co, GPH Builders Merchants, Morrison Motors, James Milne & Co, Bank of Scotland, JG Ross(Bakers), St James Place Wealth Management, Pinsent Masons and Empire HR.”
