MSP seeks return of bus service
Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East has written to Stagecoach to seek a return of the number 10 bus service to Foresterhill Hospital via Blackburn.
Dr Milne said: “I have been contacted by a number of constituents who have expressed their concern following the ending of the No 10 bus service. Many local residents particularly those who do not drive, found this service extremely useful given that the bus went directly to the hospital door - the only such bus service to do so.
“I fully appreciate that take-up of this service may not have been large during some service times, however, one suggestion which has been put to me is that every other bus could potentially stop to pick passengers in Blackburn, i.e., every two hours, or, alternatively, at peak times only. I have therefore written to Stagecoach to ask them to review the total removal of the service from Blackburn.
