North East Scotland College is hosting two open door events this March to give those wishing to apply, or who have already applied, an opportunity to visit the campus with friends and family to see the facilities.
The first event is tonight, Thursday, March 6, at the Fraserburgh Campus from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. The second is on Saturday, March 15, when the College’s City Campus and Altens Campus will be open as well as the Animal Care facilities at Craibstone (SRUC) from 10am to 2pm.
Both events will have a representative from SAAS (Students Awards Agency for Scotland) in attendance who will give advice on completing applications for HE funding and staff from the Student Services team will be there to answer any other financial, childcare, and learning support questions visitors may have.
Tours will be available at all campuses and there will be free shuttle buses from Aberdeen City Campus to Altens and Craibstone (check website for details www.nescol.ac.uk). It is also a chance to receive further information on part time courses starting in September 2014.
Rhonda Fraser, Head of Marketing and PR, North East Scotland College said: “In today’s challenging economic environment, having the right qualification is vital to realise ambitions, but we know that coming to College can be a daunting prospect not only for our younger learners but for those returning to education.
“The Open Door events are a relaxed way to allow visitors and potential students an opportunity to speak to lecturers and see the fantastic resources that the College has to offer.
“It’s also an opportunity to speak to professionals about funding and support available.
“There is no need to book and friends and family are encouraged to come along,” she added.
