Police investigate theft from Pitcaple property

GRAMPIAN Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a mobility scooter from an address in Pitcaple, Aberdeenshire.

The theft occurred between Monday, (December 24) Monday (December 31) 2012. Investigating Officer, PC James Lawson stated, “A maroon coloured four-wheeled mobility scooter was stolen from the back garden of a house on Whiteford Place, Pitcaple.

“The scooter is an unusual item to be stolen and it’s loss has greatly inconvenienced the elderly owner.

“I would ask anyone who has seen the scooter, or who may have information about where it is, to contact us as soon as possible so we can reunite it with it’s owner.” The scooter is valued at a mid three figure sum. Anyone who has information about the theft, or who has been offered a mobility scooter for sale, is asked to contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5 700 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous
