A group of North-east dancers are ready for their trip to Canada this weekend after over a year spent fundraising and practicing.
A group of pupils from The Rosaline Hendry School are gearing up for the trip of a lifetime to Canada.
On June 28 the dancers are jetting off to Vancouver to participate in the ScotDance Canada Championship Series 2014.
Sporting their new tops, specially embroided with the Scottish flag for the trip, the girls have been sponsored by Helix Canyon Offshore of Dyce, Aberdeen.
After 18 months of hard work, fundraising and practising, the group are now all ready to go.
Rosaline said: “We would all like to say a huge thank you to all the businesses, groups, clubs and private individuals who have supported us throughout our fundraising campaign and helped us get to this stage.
“We are all very grateful and the trip wouldn’t have been possible without you all - thank you.”
The ScotDance Canada Championship Series features the Canadian Highland Dancing Championships, and the ScotDance Canada Open Championships. Other events include the Pre-Premier competitions, Premier and Restricted Premier competitions, Pre-Championship, choreography, and special events and welcomes over 800 dancers from around the world.
