A spokesperson said: ”Having been fortunate enough to travel to Kenya in 2011 and visit the homes and see the role provided by New Life, I know how important the Trust is to the wellbeing and future of the children they care for.
“All the money raised from this event goes directly to the children in the Trust’s care. So far we have raised a fantastic £1,800 and it is truly overwhelming to see our wee event raise such a sum.
“From me personally, and from the children of New Life homes, thank you all very much.”
