A group of work colleagues from around the North-east at Duthie Park are in training for this year’s Baker Hughes 10k.
Duthie Park Outreach and Training officer, Arthur Gill, from Ellon, has participated in the race before but this year he will be running alongside all the other Rangers who work at the popular park.
Arthur, as well as Colin Hardacre, Alex Stuart and Claire McGivern are raising funds for a charity that the park works quite closely with - Alzheimer Scotland.
Arthur said: “The reason we chose Alzheimer Aberdeen is because we do a lot of work with the group in the Park.
“They will have their open day here on June 4 and I also volunteer at their Football Reminiscence group at Pittodrie once a month.
“We are not trying to set any records or any times we want to beat, we just want to make sure that we get around the 10k and raise as much as possible for the organisation.
“If anyone wants to donate to our 10k run just go to justgiving/ and then any of our names.”
The event takes place on May 18.
