Aberdeenshire’s Children’s Panel is looking for volunteers who can help vulnerable children in the area achieve better outcomes in life.
People from all walks of life who want to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children in Aberdeenshire and are over 18 years old are welcome to apply.
Chair of Aberdeenshire Children’s Panel’s Advisory Committee, Brian McCann, said the main skill was to be able to listen and be committed to helping young people. Panel chair George Whyte from Fraserburgh, who has served for around 14 years, said: “I really would encourage anyone with a genuine interest in helping children to consider applying.
“The excellent training and support we provide gives all our panel members the confidence to make decisions which they believe will improve children’s lives.
“Undoubtedly some cases are challenging, but that is part of being a Panel Member”
