Ellon’s St Mary-on-the-Rock Church has a new minister.

The Reverend Andrew Tucker was instituted as rector of St Mary’s and St James’, Cruden Bay, last Thursday.

Mr Tucker recently returned from serving as an Anglican priest in the United Arab Emirate where he lived with wife, Teresa, and four teenage children for two years. Prior to that he served as a priest in Sussex.

Mr Tucker enjoys hiking with his family and is looking forward to exploring the local countryside. He also enjoys running and soccer.

He and his family have thanked everyone for the warm welcome and help they have received in settling into their new home.

Last Thursday’s ceremony was conducted by the Rt Rev Dr Robert Gillies, Bishop of Aberdeen and Orkney, and the Very Rev Emsley Nimmo, Dean of the Diocese.
