The Rotary Club of Oldmeldrum has marked the end of the Rotary year by appointing a new president.

Tom Gunn, who runs his own marine navigation services company, assumed the chain of office from outgoing club president Sheena Clarke.

The ceremony took place at the club’s ‘handover’ meeting at the Redgarth Hotel in Oldmeldrum.

Club members and guests, including some prospective new members, were joined by Rotary District Governor Richard Lattimer, as Mr Gunn and his team of incoming committee conveners set out their plans for the club for the year ahead.

Afterwards, Mr Lattimer, the District Governor, congratulated members on the wide range and number of activities which they regularly undertake in support of local, national and international charities and good causes.

In particular, he mentioned the club’s ability to manage their events while having good fun.
