‘Stars In Their Eyes’ set for Inverurie return

INVERURIE Town Hall will see six local acts becoming their favourite singing stars onSaturday, March 30, as Right Here Productions host their third “Stars In Their Eyes” event.

Dan Greavey of Right Here Productions explains, “We first put on the event to raise money for our Musical ‘SHHH’ which we took to the Edinburgh Fringe, and it was a great success.

“Local charity, Gordon Dementia Services, then asked us to use it as a fundraiser for them a year later, and we were delighted that it was so well received. We are now hoping to make it an annual event, as this year we will be giving money to at least three charities, with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed acts choosing where the money will go respectively.

“The response has been incredible and a huge amount of hard work goes into putting on a slick, fun evening for all ages. The acts have been rehearsing their songs, we have pre-recorded their ‘intro films’ and we have backing dancers learning routines, judges sharpening their knives, and we also have a licensed bar and raffle.”

Tickets must be sold before the event, as due to licensing laws, no tickets can be sold on the door. For more information on how to get tickets, please contact Alison Telfer on 07742 343788 or contact the company through alison.telfer@righthereproductions.com.

In previous years the Town Hall has hosted acts as diverse as Robbie Williams, Tom Jones, S Club 7, Cher, Bing Crosby, and the previous winners Edith Piaf, and returning champions The Proclaimers who will be doing a spot in this year’s show.
