Inverurie’s Strathburn Primary School and Nursery successfully managed to raise over £1,100 for Children in Need.

Both pupils and teachers recently took part in various activities within their classes, including wearing their pyjamas to school, in order to raise funds.

Pamela McKay, a pupil support assistant at Strathburn School, volunteered to get her head shaved last Friday, November 13, to boost funds for the charity.

Hairdresser Lorraine Keenan from Inverurie’s Headstart was on hand at the school last week to shave Pamela’s head.

With the combined efforts of all the pupils, teachers and Pamela the school successfully raised a total of £1,142.55 for Children in Need.

The annual official fundraising night for Children in Need took place on Friday, November 13, and raised a over £37million on the night.
