It was a night of nostalgia at the supermarket pals' get-together.

Memories came flooding
back for a group of former
Ellon supermarket workers on Saturday night.

They gathered at the Station Hotel for a special reunion for those who worked over the years at what is now the Aldi store in Ythan Terrace.

The buffet-disco was organised by Jean Claridge and
Vicki Noble.

Staff who worked at the former Norco, Presto, Safeway, Morrisons, Somerfield and Haldanes supermarkets were invited along.

Jean told the Times: “A fantastic night was had by all and it was great to catch up
 with everyone.

“We would like to thank the Station Hotel, Coffee Pot, the Chocolate Bar and Doorsteps catering Aberdeen.”

She added: “It was great music, great food and of course great company, which made it a brilliant night.”

Jean and Vicki were helped in the organisation by their husbands, Michael and Kevin, and they thanked everyone else who supported the event.

Money left over from the reunion will go to a local charity.
