Boys who fancy a taste of the limelight have the chance to audition for a musical being staged in Inverurie Town Hall next year. The Garioch Youth Musical Society is following a successful production of “Annie” with a show called “Thirteen” set in an American High School.
Society secretary Fiona Cormack said: “The production team is delighted to get the rights to this high energy show. It tells the story of a boy joining a new school and finding his way through the different social groups there. There is an enthusiastic cast but some of the older boys who have been with GYMS for a number of shows have moved on and we would like some new talent to join us for this production.”
The society is for young people aged from thirteen to seventeen from the Garioch area. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings between 7pm and 9pm at Inverurie Academy. Find out more by calling Fiona on 07980 953613. GYMS will be auditioning in the next couple of weeks for a February 2013 production.
