With winter fast approaching one North-east firm suggests that companies throughout Aberdeenshire should get planning now to avoid problems later.

Snow and ice can lead to staff turning up late for work, meaning for some, they can’t get into the company car park and that’s before having to leave early to get home safely. All this can add up to additional costs and problems for North-east businesses.

Don Tarmacadam director, Paul Stafford, believes the answer is to plan ahead.

Paul said: “Now is the perfect time for businesses to take proactive action to ensure not only the safety of their staff but also that their day-to-day business activity is not adversely affected by the weather.

“By taking some simple precautions, businesses can avoid being caught cold should the worst happen.”

The Belhelvie firm has contracts with private companies, including those in the oil and gas industry, property maintenance and house building firms.

The local firm offer a winter maintenance service including clearing snow and gritting and de-icing the car parks, pathways and yards of firms.
